The best part? No piercings needed! That means you skip the pain, the risk of infection, and say goodbye to worries about saggy earlobes – all the hassles we'd rather avoid. Clip-ons are for so many people:

• You’re afraid of needles and can’t bear the thought of getting a piercing
• You’re allergic to metal and need an alternative
• You’ve had piercings in the past and had a bad experience, or even worse, developed keloid scars
• Your ears are sensitive and prone to painful infections
• Getting piercings goes against your personal or religious beliefs
• Or… maybe you just want to experiment with earrings without worrying about the commitment, healing time or aftercare of piercings.

We're going to be honest with you! There's no definitive "yes" or "no" answer as everyone's ear lobes have different pain thresholds and sensitivity levels.

But we are very confident in the comfort of all our clip-ons. Over the years, we have trialled and tested almost every clip-type there is. All SANS TROU pieces were designed with comfort in mind. We've chosen to use specific clip types on purpose, in hopes that our clip-ons will bring you the perfect balance between comfort and style.

We're so glad you ask, yes you absolutely can!

Clip-ons are suitable for everyone. Even if you already have pierced ears, you may want to try clip-ons if:

• Your ears are highly sensitive to certain materials
• Normal earrings irritate your ear
• You want to avoid your ear lobes sagging over time
• You want to try the "stacked earring" look but don’t want to commit to more piercings
• You want to test out how a particular kind of earring might look on you
• You need earrings that can easily be taken off
• … the list goes on!

These are just some of the reasons why clip-ons can really work for anyone, ears pierced or not!

Our primary materials are sterling silver (925) and stainless steel

• Stainless steel is known for its durability, scratch and tarnish resistance, hypoallergenic nature, and eco-friendliness (100% recyclable).
• We love sterling silver for its lustre and hypoallergenic properties. It is also chosen for most of our ear cuffs due to its softer quality making it adjustable to your ear.
• Our gold designs feature a thick layer of 18k gold plating over either stainless steel or sterling silver.
• Silver designs utilise high polished stainless steel or 925 sterling silver which is rhodium plated for enhanced brightness, durability and shine.
• Both stainless steel and sterling silver are notably kind to sensitive skin and unlikely to cause reactions.

With the right care and handling, your clip-ons are designed to be worn and loved for a long time. We've outlined everything you need to know on our Jewellery & Clip Care page.

We have undergone rigorous testing processes to ensure that our jewellery is tarnish-resistant. Our stainless steel pieces are also water-resistant.

However, to prolong the life and shine of your gold jewellery, we strongly recommend that it is kept away from any source of moisture where possible. More importantly, this will reduce the risk of losing one of your clip-ons in water!

We recommend removing our sterling silver pieces before showing or swimming and to avoid them coming into contact with sweat, perfume or other harsh chemicals. Why? Sterling silver does not have the same tarnish-resistant properties as stainless steel.

Yes, we offer clip repairs and clip swaps to help you continue loving your pieces!

If you need to amend your order, please email support@sanstrou.com as soon as possible. We process orders quickly, but we'll do our best to accommodate your request if your order hasn't been processed or shipped yet.

All orders ship in our reduced-waste Minimal Packaging.

Your items will arrive in a recyclable mailing box with a care card.

Every order includes a complimentary keepsake SANS TROU box or reusable travel pouch. The type of packaging provided depends on the style and quantity of the pieces in your order. 

We aim to ship all orders within 1-3 business days. To get your order on its way even sooner, choose Express Shipping at checkout, as these orders are prioritised.

To track your order, simply use the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email.

The same tracking number generally works with major postal services worldwide such as USPS, NZ Post, Royal Mail, Canada Post and many more

TIP: We recommend using the same tracking number on your local provider’s website to get more detailed tracking information, once the parcel arrives in your country.

Customs and duties charges are determined by the destination country and their individual import regulations. They are unfortunately beyond our control and are not included in the prices on our website. They are the customer’s responsibility to pay.

Unfortunately due to hygiene reasons, we aren't able to offer refunds for change-of-mind on all ear jewellery, as per our Refund Policy

This ensures that any item you purchase is brand new, not a re-sale of a previously returned item and has never been worn or tried-on any ear.
